🟢 Safety for students and staff is our top priority at Longfellow ELC. Last night, we offered a “Meet the Teacher” event for our families to walk their child/children into school, meet their teacher, and drop off supplies. What an awesome turnout! Thank you for coming to see us last night! It was wonderful seeing so many of our families and all of the new faces!
🟢 On the first day of school, parents must drop their child off in the car rider line. (That is if they don’t ride a bus.)
🟢 Although this may disappoint you, our primary job is to keep our students safe. The risk of injury, with multiple children and families crossing the parking lot, through our car rider line, is not a risk we are willing to take. We also want to keep their morning as calm as possible.
🟢 Thank you for your understanding on this matter. We look forward to working with you and your child this school year! It’s a wonderful time to be a Chelsea Dragon!
🟢 The student drop off door will open at 7:40 a.m. Follow the directions on the diagram provided or reference the diagram in your handbook. Please remember to avoid blocking alleys or driveways while in car rider line. We want to be good neighbors at Longfellow!
🟢 Pre-K pick-up begins at 2:50. Kindergarten pick-up begins at 3:00.
🟢 If your child takes medication, rescue inhalers or topical treatments, please come in the front office for documentation purposes.
