🏈 Chelsea Youth Football & Cheer Signups Are Open!
The Green Dragon Youth Football Association is now accepting signups for the 2026 season!
• Flag Football: Pre-K & Kindergarten
• Tackle Football: 1st–6th Grades
• Cheerleading available
🗓 Deadline: April 25

Coaches will meet students at Art Goad and walk them over. Parent meeting will follow camp.
Great opportunity for our young Dragons to get involved and get better!

Chelsea Public Schools will host a Transportation Bond Information Open House for community members who would like to learn more about the April 7 Transportation Bond.
This will be a relaxed, come-and-go opportunity to review information, ask questions, and better understand the details of the transportation bond proposal.
Topics available for review will include:
- What the bond is for
- Current transportation needs
- Estimated tax impact
- District transportation costs
- Frequently asked questions
Date: Thursday, April 2, 2026
Time: 6:30-7:30 PM
Location: Superintendent’s Office (401 Redbud Lane, Chelsea, OK)
Community members are encouraged to stop by at any time during the event.

Art Goad Families- Applications for 26/27 Student Leadership Team are due March 31st. We are looking for three students per grade level to be AGE's Leadership Team.
Interviews will take place in April.

Support the Fire of the Dragon and eat some great food! The Chelsea Band Booster's are hosting a spaghetti dinner today, Sat, March 7 until 2:00 PM in the cafeteria. See you there!!

Chelsea Public Schools will be in session on April 10 and April 24 as designated make-up days this school year.

While you’re there, the 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 academic year calendars are also posted for long-term planning.

Chelsea JOM students recently traveled to the Cherokee Nation capital to compete in the annual Cherokee Language Bowl — representing our district with pride and determination.
With only two years in the program and 20 students participating, our middle school and elementary teams stepped into strong competition and held their own against schools from across Green Country.
While we didn’t bring home a trophy this year, our students gained something even more valuable — confidence, experience, and a deeper connection to Cherokee language and culture.
We are incredibly proud of their effort and grateful to our sponsors and mentors who make this opportunity possible.

Chelsea Public Schools is proud to share a leadership transition at Art Goad Elementary as Mrs. Zenda Willcut retires after 19 years as principal and Dr. Kimberly Morgan steps into the role.
We are deeply grateful for the culture, care, and commitment Mrs. Willcut has poured into our students, staff, and families. At the same time, we are excited for Dr. Morgan to lead with heart, vision, and continuity as she begins this next chapter.

Cheerleaders will have spirit ribbons tomorrow for $1 for anyone wanting to purchase.
Chelsea Public Schools will be back in session Thursday, January 29, 2026. Temps are still quite cold so please bundle up. We look forward to seeing our students!!
Chelsea Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, January 28, 2026 due to hazardous driving conditions scattered across the district.
No School Monday, January 19th
Championship Saturday for the 2026 John Michael Humler Memorial Basketball Tournament! Chelsea Girls at 1:00, Chelsea Boys at 2:30! Live auction between our Girls & Boys game for pies, parking spaces, family passes, 1/2 hog from Lyle's Meat Processing, and one general spray from Mullis Pest Control & other great items. There is also a silent auction that lasts until about 9:00! Concessions are great and the atmosphere is even better! Come support your Green Dragons and watch some great basketball! Hero Makers will begin again on January 14th. Students must re-enroll for each semester. Registrations can be picked up at the Art Goad office.
Art Goad Students and Families: If anyone is interested in walking in the Christmas parade, we will meet at the football field entrance on Saturday at 5:30. The theme is Elf on the Shelf.
